You Live There- Give it Some Care

Its Your Neighbourhood (IYN) is a scheme for volunteer led community gardening  groups which are focused on cleaning up and greening up their local area. It provides small community groups to get involved in the wider 'Britain In Bloom' initiative. There is no charge to take part.

The Friends of Abel's Acre are a group of volunteers who garden this beautiful area in Forbes Road Faversham. The rockery enters the 'In Your Neighbourhood' competition independently each year, as well as being one of the highlights of the SSEIB judging tour.

The Friends of the Westbrook

A community group created to improve the environment at Westbrook stream in Faversham.

This year was the first time the Friends of the Westbrook entered the South and South East in Bloom Awards.They were awarded Level 3 -Developing


Millfield Allotments

Millfield allotments community group have transformed a run down site into a stunning community area, where everyone comes together for Open Days, BBQ's, Scarecrow competitions (above) and Halloween/Bonfire events, as well as a bit of veg growing.

 If there's a patch of land near you that needs some TLC, why not start your own voluntary group or join an existing one. 'In Your Neighbourhood' groups really make a difference, they are all very friendly and are always looking for new recruits.
